Dr. A.R. Cooper is
the Pastor of Miracle Temple Baptist Church in Newport News. He
is
married to Jevonal Renee Cooper who served as Co-Pastor during their pastoral
tenure at New Life Tabernacle. They are blessed with two children, Andrea and
Anthony, Jr., and one granddaughter, Anylah Wright. They are natives of Rocky
Mount, NC.
Dr. Cooper is also the accomplished author of several books, such as Breaking
Through Dry Walls, Beyond Your
Imagination, and Love in the Garden of Eden. He pursues the Word of God with a
passion that he may deliver it
with simplicity and understanding. He has been a pastor for more than 17 years.
The anointing that is on this man of God has affected the lives of thousands of
people. Many have discovered
their dreams and passions through his anointed teachings.
Romans 12:2 "be not
conformed to this world, but be
ye transformed by the renewing of your mind." His assignment is to bring forth
"Ministry of Excellence" through
teaching the Word of God along with an anointed praise and worship service.
Dr. Anthony Cooper is also the founder of New Life Tabernacle, Life Changing
Ministries, Coweta Fresh Start
Corporation (Ministry for the Community), and A. R. Cooper Ministries. His
vision is to impact family homes,
individual lives, local community, the city, state, and the world by leading and
teaching others how to “Work the
Word of God” and the “Word Will Work For Them”.
Dr. Cooper was ordained by Bishop Wiley Jackson of the Word In Action Ministries
in
June of 1995. He was ordained as an Apostle of the Gospel by Apostle A.M.
Dickens of
United Churches of Deliverance in April 2008. Dr. Cooper received his Doctorate
in
Theology from Andersonville School of Theology in 2009. He received his Masters
of
Theology from Christian Life School of Theology in 2004. He received his
Bachelor
Degree in Biblical Education from Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, Georgia
in
2000. He received an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Edgecombe
College in 1984.
Individuals are only as strong as their knowledge. Hosea 4:6 reads, "My people
perish for the lack of knowledge."
What we do not know can be a detriment to our life. God has given a system for
success in marriage, finances,
good health, and in your personal life through His Word. Understanding His Word,
applying biblical principles and
concepts, with faith in action will lead to successful life.
The system of this
world is not designed for every man
to succeed, however; John 10:10 declares Jesus came that we might have life and
have it more abundantly. Dr.
Cooper has a heart to see the people of God grow by the power of a transforming
word that has the ability to
cultivate and renew the mind. It is his desire to mature the people of God and
bring their gifts and talents into
maturity.
Dr. Anthony Cooper is a leader of leaders that invest his time into others to
become leaders with a servant’s spirit.
Just as Jesus turned water into wine (transformation), Dr. Cooper believes that
lives are to be transformed. He
saved His best for last. He desire to prepare leaders to lead, direct, and guide
others with a spirit of excellence and
with clarity. Therefore, he host and teach conferences around the world,
imparting the Word of God into the lives
of many.
He was selected by “the Ross Report News as “Distinguished Christian Statesman
Awards” and as “Man of the
Year” from the state of Georgia in 2010. He is highly recognized in the local
community as an outstanding teacher
of the Word of God. His life is committed to God, family, church, and
communities.
